Our Board of Directors provides the leadership, guidance, and stewardship that help Loaves and Fishes for St. Louis fulfill our mission. Their expertise, compassion, and commitment strengthen our organization and keep us focused on meaningful support for individuals and families experiencing homelessness and food insecurity throughout our community.

Loaves and Fishes for St. Louis Board of Directors -2026

In 2024, I became involved with Loaves & Fishes for St. Louis because I felt a real connection to its mission of helping people in our community who are facing hunger and homelessness. I’ve always believed that when people are given meaningful and accessible ways to help, they want to be part of making their community better.

Drawing on my entrepreneurial background, I began looking for ways to make it easier for people to get involved—whether that meant simplifying how donations are coordinated, creating more intentional volunteer opportunities, or finding new ways to connect people and resources with those who need them most.

For me, this work is about much more than improving systems or processes. It’s about people. It’s about bringing together individuals who want to help and neighbors who need support, and creating opportunities for genuine connection between them. I believe stronger communities are built when we recognize our responsibility to one another, and I’m proud to be part of work that turns that belief into action.

George Sloan - Board President

With 14 years of experience in the beverage industry, I have developed expertise across production, marketing, and product development. My career has been defined by a passion for building strong brands, optimizing operations, and driving growth through innovation and strategic execution.

Originally from Southwest Missouri, I have lived in St. Louis for the past 15 years, where I have been an active member of the community and committed to making a positive impact. I bring a collaborative mindset, strategic perspective, and dedication to service to my role on the board, and I am committed to advancing the organization's mission and long-term success. I am also a dedicated mother and value the balance and perspective that comes with supporting both my family and my community.

I have been affiliated with Loaves and Fishes since its inception, contributing more than 30 years of service to the organization. Throughout this time, I have served in multiple leadership capacities, including President, Vice President, and various other board roles. I currently continue to serve as Chaplain for Loaves and Fishes.

I hold a PhD in Christian Counseling and bring over 30 years of pastoral experience, having served in numerous ministry positions. My professional background reflects a sustained commitment to spiritual leadership, organizational governance, and compassionate service to the community.
