Henry’s Journey To Home

This summer, Henry visited our McKelvey Road shelter seeking assistance. Having been homeless and navigating life with a disability and a broken wheelchair, he arrived with hope, and we were prepared to offer support. Our Outreach Team promptly provided transportation to our Resource Center, where Henry received essential services including meals, hygiene supplies, and a safe environment to rest. Upon noticing his wheelchair was broken, we replaced it, restoring his mobility and dignity. While Henry stabilized, our team members diligently worked to identify permanent housing solutions. Through team persistence and Henry’s resilience, he was accepted into a Tiny Home community and has since moved into independent living. Today, Henry is thriving in the safety and comfort of a permanent home he can call his own.
