🏠 From Uncertainty to Home: A Birthday Worth Celebrating

“When our family moved to St. Louis from Indiana, it wasn’t by choice — it was because of unforeseen circumstances that uprooted our lives. At first, we stayed with relatives, but that eventually placed us in a dangerous situation, and we had to leave.

For a time, we had no choice but to sleep in our car. Then, on February 7, 2025, we were referred to Loaves and Fishes for St. Louis — and everything started to change.

Shelter life was an adjustment. At first, it was hectic. But over time, we found our rhythm. We found community. And most importantly, we found hope.

Loaves and Fishes never let us give up. They believed in our dreams, and they reminded us daily that better days were ahead.

Now, as I prepare to celebrate my birthday, I’m celebrating something even greater: we’re moving into a home of our own. After everything we’ve been through, this is more than just a move — it’s a new beginning. And it’s a birthday I’ll never forget.”
